Lynne hadn’t drawn since 1965, look at her now…

Lynnes drawing transformation

Lynne’s decision to start drawing has transformed her life.

Lynne’s story is one I come back to often.

She’s 74 and for decades, she hadn’t done anything creative — not since school, really.
Like so many others, she was told early on that art wasn’t “a career path.” So she put it aside.

Years passed.
Work, family, caring for others — there was always something else to focus on.

Then her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
His doctor recommended watercolour classes as a form of mental stimulation.
Lynne signed up alongside him… and something lit up inside her.

That one class led her back to herself.
And eventually, to drawing — and my course.

Now she has a cozy little studio space at home.
She spends hours drawing the pets of friends and family.
And she’s even started taking commissions.

But most of all?
She feels like herself again.
Like she’s finally doing something that’s hers.

“Drawing has become my retreat,” she told me.
“It gives me a sense of purpose I didn’t even know I was missing.”

That’s what happens when you follow your creative curiosity.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you’ve missed your chance…
Or if it’s “too late” to start…

Let Lynne’s story be your proof that anything is possible.
